This book is a collection of three articles written separately and independently of each other but with a common theme. The first two articles examine the nature of music semantics in the music of Anton Webern, and in particular the Five Orchestral Pieces Op 10, and in Franz Liszt's 'Music of the Future' respectively. The writing explores the nature of meaning of music, and of how that meaning is established. The third article, though briefer, applies the same approach to the establishment of political meaning as relevant to educational values.
