A beguiling love story that will leave you breathless

Jessica Blakely is a lonely girl. A musical prodigy, Jessica spent most of her life honing her craft without much of thought of anything else. Since Jessica had very little experience in dating, she became the unwilling victim of numerous blind dates, set up by many of her well-intentioned friends. One of these blind dates leads to a trip to England when the story opens. On a beautiful evening filled with stars, Jessica takes a stroll in the park as she ponders her life. In a moment of spontaneity, she makes a wish upon a star and suddenly finds herself swept back in time to the year 1260 and about to be set upon by a pack of hounds. Richard is a damaged soul. This was such an enchanting book to read. Lynn Kurland's gift with words is beyond compare. When you delve into one of her books, the inexorable draw of her words entices you into the story and holds you captive, until you feel the heart-wrenching pain of love torn asunder as well as the expanding tightness in your chest and also tears as her hero and heroine find one another. To put it succinctly, her books will make your toes curl.

My first Kurland! I loved it!

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed Kurland's writing style, her phasing and descriptions. They all helped me feel the story! I loved the hero and heroine and found I had trouble putting it down. 2 nights up 'til the wee hours! I haven't done that in a while! I have found a new favored author. I am now on a hunt for her other books! Thanks Ms. Kurland.

A Perfect Read

I loved this one! It was my first and favorite out of all her books. I kept laughing out loud at the wise cracking that flew in the pages, and smile at my boyfriend tenderly at the all the romantic twists. The is a def. must read...just buy it all ready!

One of her best books.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters were well developed and the storyline was great. I loved how the author addressed the physical and emotional abuse Richard went through as a child and how Jessica had to heal his soul before they could truely be happy. Because I read so often it is very rare for me to feel emotion for the characters but this book did it to me. Buy the book and become part of the story. It is definately a keeper. Also read "Stardust of Yesterday." That book had me laughing out loud and the part where Kendrick gives his love a ring made me cry (my husband now thinks I'm a loon). Happy reading.

MESMORIZING, BEAUTIFUL, A LASTING IMPRESSION!

This is the first book I have ever purchased by Ms. Kurland and quite frankly, I couldn't put it down! I was captured instantly by the bright, beautiful, and bold Jessica Blakely and intrigued by the harsh Richard de Galtres. The characters were so beautifully woven into a complex and thoughtful plot, full of surprises, laughter, and tears. The twist from the very beginning involving time travel really hit the mark on my romance factor. All of us, at some time, wish to escape...all of us at some point wish for a man with chivalry. This is possibly the best book I have read in a very long time. Excellent job, Ms. Kurland!
