A delicious little morsel that entertains and explodes the the whole MONSTERS! thing before your kids can get into the habit of being afraid of some generic terror that has no basis in reality. The monster is big, blue and appealingly fluffy. I defy any child to be afraid of this monster. His hapless attempts to capture a chortling little girl are far more likely to amuse than scare. My own sons, in part due to this book, have no fear of imaginary creatures or the dark, worth having for that reason alone. Alas, our own copy has been loved to the point of ruin and must be replaced for the next son and perhaps their prodgeny also.
