Shows extensive research

Very rare to see a book which cites so many sources. The book is not so much a "theory of man" as a history of the development of liberalism from John Stuart Mill's individualism to the modern collectivist or "socialistic" liberalism, as the author puts it. Whether you agree with the thesis or not, the documentation is unmatched.
