I'm so pleased that the 3rd edition of this wonderful book has been revised without the typos of the 2nd edition. The book is now more powerful and compelling than ever! A great read about a most remarkable healer.

The Miracle Man: The Life Story of Joao De Deus

I had the great honor to experience the healing energies of this true "Miracle Man" before reading this book. I experienced more love and compassion than I knew existed in this world. Mr. Pelligrino-Estrich's description of what is actually happening (I know, I was there) is as accurate as words can describe. I am very grateful to him and his wife, Catarina, for all their effort, as I am to all those who put love, forgiveness, and healing all forms of suffering to the top of their lists. Thank you all.

Miracle in Abadiania

I read this book between my first and second visit to see Joao de Deus in Abadiania, Brazil. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about this incredible healer and humble man. My life was transformed after my first visit to the Casa de Dom Inacio. I went there for a spiritual "tune-up" and was given far more than I could have imagined! My husband is a medical doctor and was called up on stage several times by Joao to assist or narrate what was going on from a medical perspective. One's sense of reality is rocked and expanded when things you think are impossible take place right before your eyes. What the book describes is true. I am so glad this book was written as it is the only book to date written in English about Joao de Deus. My husband and I just returned from our second trip to the Casa and are planning our third. Those with a serious medical problem would do best to stay there for a while to sit in the "Current" of healing energy. Some miracles are instantaneous. We witnessed a paralyzed woman become unparalyzed right before our eyes. The most important thing is to go with an open heart to receive the great blessings and miracles that are an everyday experience there. A modern day saint

I was amazed by what I read, and the fact that x-rays and lab exams confirmed the miraculous cures was even more remarkable. Medical doctors have tested and eye witnessed, and yet they can't cure the illnesses by modern medical ways. The author did an excellent job presenting the facts; enough so, that I made a trip to see Joao.I witnessed first hand and can confirm that there was no fiction in the book. The love, compassion, and joy that this man shares/brings is like none I've ever experienced before. I highly recommend you read the book and that you go visit him in Brazil. Your life will never be the same.

Essentially provocative

If you are one, as I am, who is in the process of exploring (questioning) reality, then this is a must-read. And if you are "terminally" ill.... or know someone who is, this is even more of a must-read. This LIVING Brazilian healer performs more miracles per working day than Jesus is recorded to have done in his entire ministry. This man works in front of crowds, with video recording etc. Cases are documented for those who wish such documentation. The really AMAZING THING is that no one has reviewed this book yet.... and that there is only 1 English language book on the man who has healed hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people over a period of 40-50 years and is known popularly in Brazil, Peru.... and has treated successfully many "important" people including the current president of Peru, who awarded him a medal of honor. I though this was the age of information.... how come we haven't heard of Joao? The answer to that is simple: it is just too incredible.... so it is disregarded by most everyone except the desperately ill......
