This was a very helpful book. It has made the diet adjustment easier and given me great ideas for recipes. I found it interesting that the author of the book is also from Omaha. I'm glad someone put a book together, this is the only one I could find.

This book was a great help to me. I wanted to continue to breastfeed my daughter even though she had been diagnosed with a milk soy protein intolerance. It gave me a starting point and many ideas besides drinking water and eating cardboard.

I was given this title from the lactation specialist in Omaha, NE and it was my saving grace. I followed the ingredient list to a "T" and saw an overnight difference in our home. Ms. Field provided easy guidelines to follow with practical, available and affordable substitutes. Many guides substitute with products that are hard to find and very costly. Not this guidebook! I was able to nurse successfully and feed her the foods she could tolerate when she was of age to do so. I would recommend this book to anyone with a "colic" baby!
I love this cookbook!

This cookbook is full of ideas that I might have never tried if my daughter wasn't diagnosed with MSPI. Some recipes call for margarine, and I have yet to find a margarine without milk or soy, but I leave it out or substitute olive oil, and all my recipes have come out fine. A great resource for those of us adjusting to milk and soy allergies.
Very Helpful!

This cookbook is by a mother who breastfed her dairy/soy allergic infant and these are the tips and recipes she used to make doing so manageable. Some of the recipes are upscale (pesto etc.) - but they run the gamut. She has great advice about how to manage eating out at restaurants, friends', etc., and shopping lists too. This recipe made my own diet, also limited by a dairy/soy allergic breastfed infant, much more manageable. I have since given a copy to my Pediatrician so she has it available for other mothers to whom she suggests this diet, because I know it can seem really overwhelming at first!
