This is the only really practical book in the series (not including the Charcoal foundry) in my opinion, unless you just want the understanding of how such machines work. Shapers of such a size would certainly be in the thousands range, and they have become sort of a novelty item. It seems like it would be realativly easy to make compared to the milling machine.Trevor
