It's the adapted version

I wanted the full version, this version was an adapted version.

Not what is Pictured

I thought I was getting what was pictured but it was the Illustrated Version

not the version shown - young readers adaptation

I ordered this book because it showed the original classic Robin Hood book "written and illustrated by Howard Pyle". What I received instead was a condensed and adapted version for younger readers, adapted by Deborah Kestel and illustrations by Pablo Marcos Studio. It is the "Great Illustrated Classics" version, NOT the classic one shown in the picture. If what you want is Howard Pyle's classic book, this is not the edition you're looking for.

Not what I wanted.

The book is in good condition, but I wanted to avoid getting the illustrated classic version, so I thought I was careful in choosing an option that would be the full version of this book. Disappointed because it is a different cover than shown, which clearly says it is the great classics illustrates version.
