This book attempts to provide a comprehensive survey of postcards showing the megalithic sites of Carnac produced between the late 1890s and the 1920s. It has identified over 300 cards issued by 39 editors covering 21 sites. Over 260 of these are illustrated in the book. Two appendices present a preliminary list of different print runs for each card (over 1100) and a cartoliste for the Carnac megaliths. It has thrown up some interesting observations on individual editors and other issues. If you are a collector of French postcards this book will be of interest. If you are passionate about megaliths it will be of interest. If you are both it is a must.
