Pretty Good Book

This was a typical harlequin romance and the chemistry between the main characters was good. The hero thought the heroine was a golddigger out to get his money and the heroine thought the hero was a poor snob-opportunist. This I thought was a different twist instead of the usual one sided misunderstanding. The "big misunderstanding" dragged on for about two thirds of the book, being central to the plot but it didn't manage to completely destroy the whole story. There were no detailed sex scenes; if your'e looking for that kind of thing. The author seemed to deliberately keep them very low key, to the minimum and non-explicit so as to concentrate more on character development and not detract from the story. The heroine was sweet but not a pushover and the hero was the typical alpha male who was very much taken with his baby son and a hands on father. This is unusual as in the H Presents line, babies and children are kept to a background minimum as though invisible. Over all an enjoyable read which I didn't regret purchasing.
