Informative and practical

I would like to talk about the book itself. It's not easy for a doctor to pass knowledge to an audience in an easy to understand way. I know these hardships firsthand as a fellow doctor and a radio talk show host about health. Dr Townsend accomplished the goal of educating, but the true pleasure comes from the simplistic style he incorporates in the book. Yes, as a woman you will learn where hormone imbalance comes from, but a more important message will follow - you will learn what to do to fix the problem by changing your diet, life style and adding natural ingredients. It's beneficial to be able to refresh your memory just by opening any chapter; that is a big plus, because we tend to forget even crucial information. Years ago I felt like many women featured in the book and could not find the solution. After reading many books on the subject I highly recommend Dr. Townsend's book and have even mentioned the title quite often when I lecture in person or go on the air. Excellent Physician, very informative book

The book reveals what every woman needs to know about HRT solutions, relieving menopausal and PMS syndroms and how to prevent diseases overall. Dr. Townsend expresses his real concern about HMOs and points out how hazardous it can be for your health. I respect his professionalism so much that he became a personal friend and appreciate that he is here for my friends when they need medical advice. Joan Townsend is known to be the " better half" and as a skillful nurse they make a good team. This book should be in every houshold

A Maverick of Medicine

My wife and I first met Dr. Townsend in 1995. Prior to that we had had three miscarriages and my wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer. My cousin, Dr. Tiffany Parker, suggested we meet Dr. Townsend. It has been a love affair ever since. Not only did my wife not have cervical cancer, approx. one year later we were blessed with a beautiful daughter. Dr. Townsend not only put our fears to rest during that time, but has continued to be one of the few doctors we trust implicitly. He was a straight shooter then, and I suspect always will be. Dr. Townsend and his wife Joan, are wonderful people. I can't imagine anyone meeting them and not thinking the same. Mike Venturino

Dr Duane Townsend is the kind of doctor we should all have! He's been a "traditional" physician for many years. He's pioneered many surgical techniques that have saved the lives of countless women throughout his career. More recently, he has shown us that it's never too late to learn and discovered that there are many countries outside the United States of America where women do not suffer like the women here. His approach is balanced and he shows his education and commitment in everything he says. My mother and daughter are following his advice and are enjoying the healthful changes in their bodies and attitudes. Although he can be "brutally direct" in his approach, it's meant with affection and used to get your attention. Too many of us are locked into what we see in advertisements that direct us to therapies that may actually cause more harm even if they do help the initial problem. Dr. Townsend's approach is focused on prevention. If you're ill, use this fantastic book to help yourself get better. If you're well, use the information with to stay that way! You will be better off and healthier so you can enjoy a much longer life with more energy and hope! Men, if you truly love the women in your life, you'll get a couple of copies of this book right away! One for your loved one and one for someone they care about! Hey, there's even a chapter for men so we don't feel left out! If you ever get a chance to meet this man, you'll know for sure that he really cares! By the way, he works with his wife on many projects and they compliment each other to make a very strong and effective team! I just wish the Townsend's were closer to where I live but for now, we show we care by buying this book for every family we want to help.
