A good study in hadicaping factors

It was an interesting mathematical study of what factors in horse racing handicapping one should consider. It was not what what I was hoping it would be. I was looking for a book that would tell me how to calculate what the different exotic bets combinations would cost. I have a strong background in statistics I found it Interesting.It help verify the conclusions I have drawn about what factors are important in handicapping.
