If you want to write fiction, you need this book.

Evan Marshall explains everything you need to know to get started with your novel. It may be too elementary for experienced writers, but it's exactly what the beginner needs. He not only tells you what to do but shows you how to do it. For instance, all the how-to books say to use a header; this workbook shows you what the header should look like. Marshall's charts for characters and plot make sense of the rhetoric, and his blueprint will move the novel along to completion. This is the clearest, most helpful book on writing that I've found.

GREAT BOOK FOR THE ASPIRING BEGINNER

I checked out at least 2 dozens books on how to write your own novel from my local library. I then spent at least an hour with each book to decide which ones were worthy of my collection and needed further studying. Was I surprised? There is so much junk out there that is no help at all. This book was very different. It was excellent. It is the one that I decided had all that I needed to get started. It was the only one that actually lays out in detail the steps that you need to follow to complete a novel. Don't spend all your time looking at other books about novel writing, this is the one to get...

Wow - What A Plan!

You have got to get this workbook if you are serious about seeing your first-time novel published. Evan Marshall breaks down the process into clear steps that really help the author to define the novel's characters, plot, relationships, pace, and so forth. I was astounded how quickly and in-depth my characters took shape, how the schemes, scenes and plots developed my manuscript to something that I can see being completed and ready for publishing soon. The Marshall Plan Workbook was the "write" plan for me. See if it is for you.

Evan Marshall, you've done it again...A GReeeeat Book!

Evan Marshall: I just had to let you know again, I bought your first book 16-step program to write a novel, and am very happy to say I've enjoyed it again. Your Workbook Plan was a great follow-up to your first novel writing book...I only wish you would come out with a followup software program...I would be the first one to buy it. Please keep up writing these how-to wonders...and thanks again....I bought Storycraft software and I'm sad to say I got caught with a worthless piece of software ..SAVE YOUR MONEY, and buy Evan Marshall's 2 writing books.

A Novel-writing Class in 250 pages

Acutally, this workbook covers more ground than any class could hope to. What's the best way to describe this workbook? This is the most original approach to writing a novel ever presented. And probably the most effective. Having read Mr. Marshall's previous writing bible, The Marshall Plan for Novel Writing, when I first heard about the workbook, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Now I've got it, and it's better than I expected. Follow the plan, you'll have a novel. I've already completed one thriller using Marshall's method from his first book. This workbook has started me on my second novel. You will not believe the sense of freedom you'll get when using this system . Before, when I got an idea for a novel I'd get a sort of stage fright, unsure how to take that idea and somehow make it a novel. Not with The Marshall Plan Workbook. There's no guesswork. He lays out a great way to get the job done. No mystical theories. Just hard-core craft. His system works. I have 500 pages of proof sitting next to my keyboard. Get the workbook, follow the plan, finally write that novel instead of just wishing you could.
