The Marriage Promise

Second in the Blackwell Brothers series. Cutter Blackwell is an ex-military Texan with a rough exterior, and Sara Gunter is an Amish schoolteacher. The cultural clash was intersting, but what impressed me was the tight character developement. When an author can bring me to tears over the emotional action of the people portrayed, I'm impressed. I recomend this book to those who enjoy looking under the obvious into the hopes, fears, and private demons of the characters.
