A great book. Read it in one sitting! The documentary about the adventure won an Oscar (I have not seen it.) All in all this book is a fascinating insight into the mind of this original 'extreme skiier'. At times the author comes accross as a total nut, and is likewise unintentionally hilarious. The book is interspersed with Miura's interpretations of the Samurai philospohy... also quite interesting.
