Refugee escape

Minh is a Nationalist soldier with a famous pastor grandfather. Finding himself on the losing side he knows it is only a matter of time before he is arrested. Hauled off to a reeducation camp in the middle of the night he leaves his wife and unborn child. Six years later they are reunited and he leaves the country with his family. This book offers a unique perspective to a refugee family's world. It also hints at the growing cultural awareness of a young American man (the author) as he sees the Vietnam war from the human side. If you enjoy stories of personal survival and the quest for human rights, this is a worthwhile read.
