Somewhat not fulfilling

I love horror and I especially love horror short stories. I think it takes a very clever writer to be able to create characters and situations in a short period of time and then make the reader uncomfortable with whatever takes place. To my dismay, many of the stories in this anthology had no ending. I felt like the story was chopped out of a much larger work and expected to stand on its own. At least 3 times I get to the end of a story and thought "Well, what the hell happens now?" I don't know if the editor(s) wanted to include a huge number of authors, but they (the authors) were not given enough space to clearly put an end to their tales. Not one of my faves.

A good batch of stories

One of the better entries in Jones series of horror stories compilations. I especially enjoyed "Israbel" and "Trick of The Dark" and another excellent Poppy Z. Brite story "Devil of Delery St." "My Death" was also a good story but like "Apocolypse Now, Voyager" I wouldn't really classify either story as horror. Overall a lot more pluses than minuses, definitely worth a read.

Don't Turn Out the Lights!

If you like horror stories then you need this book! 21 short stories by authors such as Neil Gaiman and Tanith Lee, just to name a few. My 2 favorites are "Stone Animals" and "Growlimb". Enjoy!
