I purchased this book when I first began exploring the craft over 36 years ago, and have never doubted anything in it. It has realistic advice that I suggest every witch or pagan have in the library. I have read negative reviews about these folks and fail to see what their problems are. Are they envious? Do they fear the truth? Have they actually read the book from cover to cover and understood it? I plan on letting my grandchildren use this book for their first text when they begin in the craft. Not many authors can say that! I recommend this for all who wish to really learn something!
Not "Wiccan" at all

It uses the term "witchcraft" in the title because this is not a wiccan fluffy bunny BS book. This gets down to the nitty gritty and actually tell you how to DO stuff. Each section has it's own affirmation for that particular talent.Sections include astral projection, spirit guides, how to win someone over, and how to make your money grow. The Frost's are straight up and forward about everything. There are no disclaimers and no ethics crap. This stuff works!! Use at your own risk and be careful what you ask for.
No, It's Not Fluffy-Bunny-Craft

Most of the people who complain about this book and it's "updated" version seem to be bothered by the "ethics" or "morality" or lack of info on the religious aspects of Wicca. Well, simply put, this book is about the "Magic Power" of "Witchcraft" (gee, you would think more people would have caught on to that fact) and how to use Witchcraft to improve your life and obtain the things you want in this world. Of course there will always be those who believe that taking care of oneself (being "selfish") or using magic to get ahead in the world (as opposed to using it to try to end world hunger and war) is immoral, unethical, and just plain bad (I wonder if these folks are really closet Christians). In reality, this book just tells it like it is, plain, simple and to the point. It tells the student exactly what to do and how to do it to improve their lives and achieve success and happiness. If your interest is in developing and using such powers as astral travel, telepathy, recharging your cosmic energy, being able to consult the spirits of the deceased, and a great deal more besides, then this book is a must have. I've studied everything from the Magick of Aleister Crowley, to the Golden Dawn and Franz Bardon's Hermetics, all of these are excellent in their own way but the Frosts' Witchcraft has proven to be the most practical and useful of anything I've yet seen. This is a very good book and deserves serious consideration by all practitioners of the occult.
A great book for the beginner

I purchased the book from the authors with my alowance when i was young and looking for my religion when i was younger. Not only did i find what i was searching for, but it helped me in finding my path in life. It is clear and concise for those who don't really know what magic is about. If it was still in print I would recommend it as a must have for any magical library for all beginners who are searching for where to begin.
one of the few good books on witchcraft

I bought this book some time ago and it is a very good book. The Frosts have written a book with substance. Unfortunately, this cannot be said of the majority of books on wicca. This book gets to the nitty gritty of witchcraft and does not pull punches. It tells things as they are. The authors show how to access cosmic power , how to work spells , astral travel and gain all the knowledge you wish from spiritual guides among other intresting topics. This is what wicca is all about. I cannot say this of other books on wicca. This book is one of the few classics in witchcraft. Excellent book.
