The Magic of UNIX is completely explained

The entire UNIX OS is expalined in a cogent manner to be understood completely. For any serious kernel writers this book is a great assert to understand the mysterious kernel. Great book to keep in hand.

The definitive guide for UNIX kernel developer

The Magic Garden is so far the most comprehensive and in-depth discussion on the Unix Sys-V kernel. It discusses in-depth on how the new design of virtual memory works, in conjunction with the file system module. The authors include a lot of short source code pieces to illustrate the concept and present explanation in clear and concise language.

A must-have for any Technical Library

Needing to delve into crash dumps? Want to write robust device drivers? Do you *really* like kernel hacking? Does having a complete understanding of an operating system give you a competitive advantage? The Magic Garden Explained gives the how's and why's of SVR4 architecture in detail that I have found no-where else. Complete algorithms (in pseudo code) provide a glimpse into the elegance of the OS. This book should be read cover to cover once, then referenced countless times by any aspiring "guru".

Good description of UNIX internals

The book has in-depth coverage of SVR4 internals. The book is very good for UNIX system software programmers and also for UNIX systems support engineers. All topics are covered with almost all minute details. So the book is not for beginners to understand UNIX overview. This is the best book ever on SVR4 UNIX operating system internals.
