The Magdalene Moment: A Vision for a New Christianity is a thoughtful discussion of Christian spirituality and problems inherent in the Catholic church, as written by former nun Joanna Manning. Chapters discuss the difficulties Manning endured to become a nun, how she left the convent to get married, the shock of learning about scandals involving priests committing sexual abuse of children, how her efforts to speak out against such unforgivable betrayals of trust was the final straw that broke apart her marriage, and much more.
