Although I must agree with Kirkus on the confusing introduction of many characters in the first chapters of The Lucky Ones, once into it I thought this was a very enjoyable book. The women characters are well developed throughout; wrapping things up at the end of the book started to chug along at what seemed like a break-neck speed. All-in-all, if you're looking for a good "beach book", you'll probably consider this choice one of The Lucky Ones
