Couldn’t put it down!!!

This is one of those books you just can’t stop thinking about. When your not reading it you’re trying to solve the mystery. Wonderful book! Highly recommend.

Will Keep You On the Edge of Your Seat

While I was in the middle of The Lost Girls of Paris I saw the movie "A Call to Spy" on Demand on cable tv. This book is obviously based on "A Call to Spy" which is an historically accurate accounting of the women trained to be spies for the SOE sent into occupied France starting in 1942. The book has the group starting in 1944 just before the D-Day invasion. The female in charge of finding and training the women and 1 of the women are copied after 2 of the characters. The rest is fiction. Pam Jennings added an American woman who just happens to find a suitcase that gets her involved in trying to find out what happened to the women and adds some less than believable coincidences involving the Nazi Hans Kriegler but all in all this is a very good book that kept me wondering about how it would end until the last chapter.

A Wonderful Book

I was hooked from the moment I started reading. It was a touching and dramatic story. I couldn't put it down.

I couldn’t put it down

I absolutely loved this book. Such a great story

Yet another great novel by Pam Jenoff!

Let me just say, each work I read of Pam Jenoff is a masterpiece! This is the third book I read by her and yet again, she has the ability to transport you into the story and make you feel as of you are alongside the characters watching their every move. This work is told by three women, each in different points if time. Grace is the present day (in her time after the war) Eleanor (part of the SOE) and Marie (an agent working for the SOE) I don't want to give away too much, but it all starts with some photos found in a suitcase - and a hint of curiousity- that propels Grace to find out what really happened to the 12 women who were lost in Paris. Eleanor too is trying to find out what happens to her girls but so many twists, turns and one shocking betrayal leads them all to New York City where the truth of what really happened lies. This book was amazing and although it took me a bit more time to finish than it usually does to finish a Pam Jenoff novel, this one does not disappoint. Knowing that there were real female agents who deployed during WW2 and never found again only piques my curiosity more on the subject of female spies. At times the novel seemed to move a bit too fast (like the love between two agents) but it was just sooooo great and I highly recommend this book!
