A wonderful collector's item for Nancy Drew fans!

I'm a 37 year old mother of one and a long-time fan of Nancy Drew. I remember my mother taking me to used bookstores so I could buy inexpensive books back when I was 8 years old and I happened to stumble upon some Nancy Drew hardbacks. The love affair has never ended! I love all the original titles and this book is the icing on the cake. It is beautifully bound and contains anecdotes of Nancy Drew's sleuthing adventures, in the form of journal entries. This is spiced up with beautiful illustrations of the front cover of Nancy's earlier adventures, i.e. The Secret of the Old Clock, The Hidden Staircase, The Mystery at Lilac Inn, The Clue in the Diary, The Clue of the Broken Locket, The Secret in the Old Attic, The Ghost of Blackwood Hall, The Mystery at the Ski Jump, The Scarlet Slipper Mystery, The Mystery of the 99 Steps, The Invisible Intruder, The Strange Message in the Parchment, and The Thirteenth Pearl. Also, there are little 'treasures' to unearth such as ticket stubs, letters, maps, etc. There is also a special page that focusses on Nancy Drew through the decades - how her fashion changed over time and at the end of the book is an envelope containing 13 collectible postcards of the covers of the earlier books. All in all, this is a wonderful book for young and old fans alike. Also, a great companion book to this for older readers] would be Girl Sleuth: Nancy Drew and the Women Who Created Her by Melanie Rehak.Highly recommended.

A must for Nancy Drew fans

I purchased this for my 42 year old daughter, a collector of Nancy Drew books since she was 10 years old, and my 10 year old grandaughter who is following in her mother's footsteps. They both rate it five stars and say it is a must for any Nancy Drew lover.

A Snoopy Reveiw

This book was great! I loved all the special pullouts. It was realy fun to run your hand over the page and wonder what else you'll find. It was so cool how some of the pictures looked so clear and real, it was almost as if you could touch them. This book gave great information. Just once bit of advice, make sure before reading all about the certain book it's telling you about, make sure you've read the whole book before. Because it basically gives you the ending. But other than that, its a really amazing Nancy Drew memorbilia book. I loved it!

Really cool!

My daughter bought this book and says that it is "really cool!" It has lots of secret messages, pictures, and compartments throughout the book, that my daughter enjoyed a lot.

fun collectible

This is such a cute book! Each double-page layout features a different Nancy Drew mystery, and gives information on how she solved the case. For example, the first layout contains notes from her first book "The Secret in the Old Clock". It has an entry from Nancy's Journal, a copy of the will she found in the clock, the charity tickets Nancy sold to the Topham's, and other fun things. The book contains pop-ups, pull-outs, ribbons, diagrams, and other fun "hands-on" things for kids to play with. You get to pull pictures out of sleeves, open envelopes, untie bows, and pull tabs (among other things). It makes you imagine that you are looking at all the original documents and clues that helped Nancy solve her mysteries over the years. As a bonus: there is a package of Nancy Drew postcards that comes with each book. Thumbs up!
