A must for new christians

There are a dozen or so books that every christian should have in their personal library, and this is one of them. This book will help new christians build their convictions, biblically, about the need for strong relationships with other christians, and the reality of spiritual warfare. It's a fun read and engaging, even for those with a short attention span. It's biblically solid and makes the scripture come alive. I give a copy to every new christian in our fellowship and they all enjoy it and refer back to it. It'll change your view of lions forever. Enjoy.

WOWWWWW

As a new Christian, I 'devoured' this book in one sitting and I am not a reader from cover to cover.....the gruelling comparisons which he uses are things you will never forget or never should forget when dealing with Satanic attacks. GREAT BOOK, it made me realize what we are up against and how much Satan attacks Christians......a must read even for the non-reader!

Great for Leading New Christians

This is a book that really helped me to have more of an urgency in my approach to teaching and equipping people who have just become Christians. It vividly portrays the danger that Satan presents in their lives, challenging us to be alert and prepared. A cool movie to watch around the time you read this book is "The Ghost and the Darkness".

A warning to stay aware

This is a small book and an easy read. However, do not be misled by the size, because it is a riveting description of how Satan attacks like a lion. The author compares the methods of lions attacking victims to Satan attacking Christians. Since the Bible also gives this comparison, it is Biblically sound to compare the two and to take note of the methods of attack used by the lion. It is very thought-provoking.

Practical, inspiring, and challenging

This book can be read in one sitting. But don't! Each chapter is a great illustration of how Satan tempts us. I recommend taking a day to chew on each short chapter. Mike uses very practical illustrations from African life to illustrate how Satan deceives and how we can fight his attacks. Taliaferro is one of the best at using graphic and colorful illustrations to make spiritual points. While this book is an easy one to read, it is also very deep and challenging. I rarely finish books quickly, but I finished this one in a few days. A must read for anyone who wants to follow Jesus.
