This book of Bro. Creath's letters covers everything from the missionary society to regeneration to Bible revision-even to preachers being needed in some quiet backwater area. He con-cerned himself with anything and everything needed by the churches among whom he labored. After the Civil War, he trav-elled far and wide soliciting aid for the families of deceased Southern Soldiers, often giving of his own meager earnings. These letters, essays and articles come from a myriad of sources. It seems that Bro. Creath wrote for nearly every major journal published by the "conservative" wing of the Disciples of Christ. He began his writing career writing for the Christian Baptist and ended writing for David Lipscomb's Gospel Advocate. In between, his writings could be found in virtually any journal that opposed the society and also the instrument.
