... and somehow it worked!

This is normally the type of book I shy away from. Silly historical romances, gag me. But for some reason, this works. Yes, it is a romance, gushy and beautiful as you please. I think it was the whole Romeo & Juliet plots that got to me. Then there is the extra look into a few verses of scripture that really don't receive too much attention. Who doesn't want to feel more of what these people went through--even if there is no proof it didn't happen? (but hey, that's half the fun of historical fiction!) There is action, there is danger, there is everything. It's fun, beautiful, and thrilling, written in tantalizing and gorgeous prose. I highly recommend.
