Beautiful book and Legend!

The copy that I have has the little girl sitting on the bench on the front. The art work is BEAUTIFUL! My granddaughter loves for me to read the book to her! It has a wonderful meaning!

A Beautifully Written Legend

Several years ago, my husband and I chose to give our children each a book at Christmas that they might pass down. The Legend of the Candy Cane tops our list of books in this collection thus far. This story is loved by all of us in the family and certainly knows no season. The lessons provided in this book are invaluable (provided you are looking to for a way to recapture Christ with Christmas). The illustartions keep the attention easily of my 2 year old and the text is loved by my 4 year old. Put this book on your wish list--- it's a keeper.

It brought tears to my eyes.

This is the most beautiful story I've ever read. Whether it's Christmas time or the fourth of July, I love reading this book with my younger relatives. It tells the story of the candy cane with so much emphasis on Jesus. Christmas has become very materialistic to children, but books like this put things in perspective. It takes an ordinary candy and makes it a symbol for Jesus- his death and his purity. This is my all time favorite childrens book.

Excellent book for classrooms

I collect Christmas boks and this is a recent purchase. I read it to my 1st grade and give each child a candy cane to eat and one to take home. They tell the legend to family and friends.
