This series is really shaping up to be a must read recommendation

The Law of Three brings us back to the serial witch killer Eldon Porter who reared his ugly head in book two Never Burn a Witch. The story starts out just a few weeks after the events in Perfect Trust. Rowan and Felicity barely have a chance to catch their breath before a new horror engulfs them. A member of their coven has been brutally murdered and Rowan believes that Eldon is trying to bait him into coming out of hiding. To make matters worse there is some new blood running things at the St. Louis Major Case Squad and this regime has about as much tolerance for rowan as Eldon. Will Rowan be able to keep the people he loves safe and better still, alive? Will he truly succumb to the will of a mad man and join his fallen brethren in the Summerlands? This was a very fast paced ride that has some very unexpected turns. I literally read this in a day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The minute I am done posting this review, I am digging into book five Crone's Moon. This series is really shaping up to be a must read recommendation for anybody interested in crime, paranormal fiction and a damn good storyline. Great series

The "Rowan Gant Investigation" series by M.R. Sellars is an excellent mystery/suspense/crime series. Mr. Sellars's writing style is a bit different than most other authors' but it makes for compelling, page-turning drama. Every time I pick up one of his books, it's nearly impossible for me to put it down. This particular installation brings into focus the idea that whatever you send out will come back to you three times over. And, oh boy, does something come back for one of the characters! Pick up the series if you want a great summer read!

A Great Scary Read

I have just finished this book and really loved it! Once again, M.R. Sellars has scared me silly. I think the thing that makes the Rowan Gant series so good a read is that unlike some books that have fantastical bad guys, trolls, and wizards (oh my) he gives us rather ordinary folks and completely plausiable bad guys. There really are crazy fanatics in the world, we all know it. Sellars just shows us what they are capable of doing. Read it with the lights on!

Extreme Suspense

Mr. Sellars, yet again produced another masterpiece of writing. I am torn to say this is his best so far because I have felt each of his books was the best. Yet he only gets better. My one and only hint -- don't plan on doing anything for the weekend or time you sit down to read this book -- you will not want to stop!Enjoy!

Another great mystery from Sellars

I was in the middle of one of Patricia Cornwall's Kay Scarpetta mysteries when I picked up "Never Burn a Witch," the second book in the Rowan Gant series. After only a few pages, I put Cornwall aside until I finished it - and didn't go back to it until I'd finished "Perfect Trust" and "The Law of Three."With each book, the stakes grow higher for Rowan Gant. There is a real sense of place in the St. Louis setting. The positive portrayal of pagan religion makes it a fascinating read, but Sellars never lets the religious aspect overshadow the mystery. Particularly in this book, Gant's antagonists are not only the killers, but prejudice against his religion - a prejudice that is all too real.I cannot recommend the Rowan Gant series highly enough. After "The Law of Three," I can't wait for the next book.
