Good read

This book was part of a suggested reading list from school. It serves as a great resource for photographers. This book is designed for photographers. Also, just plain reading for fun is not what this book was meant for.

Well Worth the Read

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Photography as a must have and a must read. Contents were excellent and very educational. Good information to know and have!

Insightful

Although no book is meant to take the place of an actual attorney when it comes to specific legal matters (as this book prefaces with a disclaimer inside the front cover), this particular book takes an in-depth look at many different legal scenarios involving still photographers. It also gives detailed references of case logs for each legal scenario presented. I found the book to be very useful at anwering questions of an ambiguis nature when it came to certain legal aspects of copyright, usage, contracts and privacy, etc. I highly recommend this book and it is something that every professional photographer such as myself, should have on thier shelf at home.

Essential Reading for Every Photographer

This book covers the basics of the legal and business aspects of being a photographer. Duboff wastes no words. The book is thoughtful, concise, well organized and easy to read. The court cases he cites are interesting and thought provoking as well as useful information. This book is an invaluable reference for setting up a professional photography business.

Very up to date

Another great reference book for the small business owner. Very up to date. It includes a chapter on doing business on the Internet.
