Kyrie Holloway is leaving behind the life of a hair stylist and becoming a professional counselor while taking care of her ailing grandmother. Just as she is about to finish her certification course, her last client turns out to be an old high school flame that she has kept a dark secret from for all this time. As she tries to counsel him through his problems, the issues from their shared past begin to arise as Kyrie is once again overwhelmed by her rebellious adolescence.
