Comfort read

Absolutely loved this book. It had mystery and magic that mix very well

Fine if you like romance

I thought this would be more about magic and a murder mystery, but the romance takes a lot of space. It also has an annoying trope I see in many books where the main character is described as beautiful and interesting, but then when interacting with the romantic interest (in this case described as "the hottest guy in school"), she's so aloof because "how could he be interested in me??" Ugh...
