This is the last book in Hearts of Wyoming series. 1124 Pale Rider, 1183 Urban Cowboy, 1238 Wrangler, 1257 The Gal who Took the West, 1287 Wyoming Wildcat and 1527 Call of the West. Readers should read them in sequence to fully understand the dynamics of a ranching family, the hard life they face battling elements and their strong personalities. Author Myrna Temte has done a very good job in this series and, especially this one. Nora Roberts has always been one of my favorites authors but now Myrna Temte has joined the ranks. Jake McBride is conservative, oldest son/cousin and a young widow who strongly believes he has no capacity to love again after losing his wife because his entire sense of being and heart is frozen at -40 with no chance of ever thawing in his lifetime. OR so he believes OR tries to convince himself. Then he meets an eccentric Hollywood writer who whacks his head real hard and not only thaws his heart but his entire senses to boiling point of 212 deg F. Jake thinks he has an itch to scratch and scratch it he will one time - a doofus like the Doofus, the dog !!!!! Was so touched by the story that I have read it over 25 times and I am afraid I will soon wear out the cover/pages.
Wonderful read!
