Orwell meets his match

the last election is a vision of future england run permanently by the Money Party, throwing pop music, drugs and snooker to the unemployed masses. The effect of the book is somewhat like reading A Clockwork Orange written in teenage jargon. Pete Davies is very inventive in this chilling satire.
