This book contains research on the life and descendants of Jacob and Anna (Witmer) Landis, 1717 immigrants to East Lampeter Township,Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It includes the immigrants Ephrata John Landis and Hammer Creek Henry Landis. Known biographical facts are included from extensive research. A special emphasis is placed on the seven earliest generations but later generations who were born prior to the 1940s are included with footnote information. Many of the Landis descendants lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but they are also scattered throughout the United States, most frequently in Ohio and Illinois.
