Better than I expected

I never know what to expect when I pick up a book by Ms Alexander. Sometimes I am entertained, other times utterly bored. This book leans more to the entertaining side of things. The characters are quite well drawn, if not always likable, and the dialogue witty. The storyline starts out well, but peaks before the end and then becomes rather labored.
