The author clearly dislikes the people she wrote about
Published by AK , 2 years ago
The author of this book uses slurs and derogatory language throughout this book, starting from the first paragraph. She describes colonizers breaking treaty terms in sympathetic ways, and often repeats the complaint that the Klickitat people (more accurately, the Wishram/Wasco people) are "uncivilized", "lazy" and "savage". Clearly this author had no respect or affection for the people she was writing about.
