Rest in Peace, Dr. Norris!

Dr. Norris' perspectives as a psychologist about killers is quite fascinating especially in this collection of cases in this book. I was interested in more than just their gruesome actions in cases like Henry Lee Lucas, Bobby Lee Long, etc. I wanted to know why they committed such horrific acts in mass murder sprees like the Luby's in Killeen, Texas which resulted several casualties as well. Norris compares and explains in great detail about their minds especially that many of the serial killers like Long and Lucas suffered serious brain damage and abuse at the hands of others. My only complaints about the book is some obvious mis-spelled words and the pictures of some but not all of their cases. It would have been nice to have a picture to the face of all the criminals studied as well as photos of their victims. Still I recommend this book for anybody interested in true crime and wished that Dr. Norris was still around.

A Fine Book

This book is a good introduction to killers, and Mr. Norris throws in theories of why people turn out the way they did in his book. In many of the cases, full books have been written on the the subjecy of Norris' chapters, so if while reading you find one of interest to you, there is always the option of learning more about the subjects.
