The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore

Wow, what a book! The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore is filled with many heart-stopping, scary moments that make you want to lock all the doors and close every curtain in your house before turning the page. This exciting book is about a 17-year-old girl named Christina Lattimore. It is late one night when Christina is getting out of her car and a dark shadow comes out from the bushes. This dark, frightening shadow is no friend pulling a park, but a dangerous man named Zack Tigus that kidnaps Christina. Christina is held in a cold and lonely basement while she is being held for ransom. Christina struggles to stay alive and tries everything to get out of this awful place. Finally, after hopeless days and nights, the police come bursting into the apartment. Christina thinks her nightmare is over, but it's only beginning. The police take Christina down to the police station and shock her with the news that she has been charged with extortion. Feeling betrayed and abandoned, Christina is determined to prove her innocence. How far will she go? I loved this book! It never got boring and always kept me guessing. My favorite character was Christina because she is a very strong person inside and incredibly brave. I also like how determined she was and how she never gave up because I know I could never stand up against two hardcore criminals. Joan Lowery Nixon did a great job making the book suspenseful. "...I hold my breath and listen as I become aware that softly, very softly, through the thick plush carpeting on the stairway, footsteps are padding, patting like little steps of a powder puff. And they are coming upstairs!" This book keeps your heart pounding and palms sweating until the very last pages, which is why I highly recommend this book. Once you start it, you won't be able to put it down.

Nice, Easy, Mystery

The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore By Joan Lowery Nixon "I listen to the footsteps moving over my head. Who are you? I want to cry out. What are you doing here? I shove the sleeve of my sweater into my mouth to keep from screaming. I must hang on! I've got to!" One day, Christina Lattimore is kidnapped. She gets out unharmed, but everyone, even her family, believes that she faked her own kidnapping! Christina will go to some dangerous measures to prove her innocence, but how much will it take to reveal the truth? I thought that The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore was fairly interesting. The ending was definitely something I would not have expected, either. This book shows that giving up should never be an option, and neither should ceasing to try. I really liked how Christina never gave up, despite her odds. I would recommend this book to basically all people looking for a mystery novel that is not very gruesome.

This Book Is AWESOME!

I really loved this book! The first couple pages, I was about to give it up, but I kept going on. Christina Lattimore comes from a very rich family, that's the main reason the kidnappers kidnapped her. The end, oh my gosh, I would've never thought it was them (not telling...) who was the mastermind of this kidnap. Wow. I so recommend this page-turner. It's so suspensful.

Suspense, thrilling,...Everything i would look for in a book

This book has numerous climaxes, and it is because of this that makes this one of "jln's" best books. It is a tale of a teenage girl, christina, and her struggle to gain her parents consent to go away on a felid trip. Only one problem, her father is a straong christian and does not beleive in the roman religion (which is the main lesson to be taught when in rome)so while fighting against her parents crude comments and stern remarks, Christina finds hersself being kidnapped and in a dark basement. When she finally gets out of her "cell" and is rescued by police, everyone ,including her parents, are convinced that she took part in the planning of the kidnapping so that she could go on her feild trip which, now, means absolutly nothing to her. In the middle of her battle with friends family and others she meets a young handsome guy, kelly. This is the begining of their friendship which not only sparks a slight romance, but makes the once solo struggle into a charming duo.I find this exceptional novel rising above all the many Joan Lowery Nixon books and all other books i have ever had the joy of reading.
