Take a road trip down South...

Peyton Cabot is not your average Georgia teenager. In his fifteenth year, what he believes will be a typical summer vacation becomes anything but that. Tragedy soon strikes the Cabot family, and leaves Peyton searching for the answers to his family's past, present and future. Before long, Peyton embarks on his father's legendary bike trip from Atlanta to Key West, meeting a wide-ranging cast of funny and lovable strangers along the way. Even in fiction, these people radiate the heart, soul and hospitality of the South that makes it so unique. The only thing that I didn't find tasteful in this story was that some of the family and hired help were social drinkers, which seemed thoughtless of Peyton's dad, who had such a hard time from it, and led to his early demise. Other than that, I am quite fond of this book. It's like taking a road trip right alongside the characters, and it's a book that is definitely on my re-read list. I received this book free from Revell, and the thoughts and opinions listed above are my own.
