Ok read.

Without spoilers all I can say is that it seems as if the author just gave up at the end. Maybe it's one of those where you have to make up your own mind based on symbolism but I don't think it was. He spent a lot of time building up the characters and settings which was all very nice - I enjoyed that but then it lead to a dead end. No closure and I personally wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
