I admit I was pleasantly surprised to see a book with the word JOY as a topic of what a Godly life should and can be about. The chapters I am enjoying are The Joy Of Being Content, The Joy of The Generous Spirit, The Joy of A Radical Life Style. Because I think it is important for a believer in God, to not be of this world, but to realize the contentment that one can have with knowing they have a simple sound roof over their head and good healthy food to eat. And the book illustrates Baptists, Presbyterians, Catholics, Mennonites and others who are living a simple, plain life, who are happy. There is also an excellent chapter The Joy of Commitment to Change which deals with making sure that because "we" have what we need, we must work to make sure that others have housing, food and health care too. That Christ's words "what you do to the least of them, you do to me" must be a motto we live by.
