This autobiographical account traces the steps of Helen Edds' journey from her childhood rebellion against having God in her life to becoming a missionary in what is today known as Irian Jaya. It is never boring but filled with one faith story after another. When God finally got hold of this woman's heart, He had it fully. In the midst of many challenges and set-backs she rarely made her needs known to others but staunchly trusted God to meet them--and He did. I particularly enjoyed reading of her time living and ministering in the primitive areas of Irian Jaya. Her writing style made me feel like I was right there with her tasting it all for myself.
