enjoyable read

This book is extrememly well written well researched and a page turner. The main characters and family situations are believable and the fantasy parts make a good novel out of historic and world events across two continents. The time span of the book,late 19th century and first two thirds of the 20th century, allow for a wealth of situations, romances, crises and a changing world in which the characters play out and interweave lives and fortunes. It was hard for me to put the book down.

A SURE FIRE novel!

This obscure paperback novel, I learned from my library users, was a sure-fire satisfier. Not a single reader did anything but rave about it and wished the author had written more!
