Layman's language

This report was written in layman's language which made it easily understood. Many good points were addressed as well as how Iraq impacts the U.S. position in the rest of the Mideast. S. Esposito Illinois

EVERYONE should read this!

Although it is obvious that our own president has not read this report, it is vital that every American know what the current situation is in Iraq and what a BIPARTISAN committee recommended the country do to remedy the situation. Be a responsible citizen and read the Iraq Report!

A brilliant achievement

Succinct and clear, this report with its excellent recommendations offers the Bush administration a blueprint for resolving the catastrophic mess it has made of its crazy and illegal invasion of Iraq with a reality check and a focus on diplomacy and a readiness to compromise. The report is highly readable, and I would defy anyone to leaf through it and fail to nod the head more and more with every page. The men who conducted the analysis under Jim Baker's inspiring leadership are to be congratulated. Unfortunately the Bush administration has elected to ignore the report more or less in its entirety, seeming to prefer continuing on the current road to nowhere.

An easy and very worthwhile read.

The book arrived in excellent condition and in short order. It was fascinating to see the degree to which the media distorted the study group report by selection. eg. Did you ever hear that the committee recommended a surge of 20,000 troops as part of its report? Neither did I, but its right there in the executive summary and in the internal options section of the report. And there are 77 other recommendations, not just the three or four that the media keeps talking about.

A great day for America

Finally we have a well-qualified, dignified group of statesmen who have worked hard to lay out a candid approach to success in Iraq. This book's course of action, authored by a bipartisan panel who are unanimous in their recommendations, may be the last and only chance to repair the damage done to our image worldwide. People have already lined up to attack this book as propaganda, when, in reality, it is the closest thing we've had to truth coming out of Washington in months.
