Cool book

I used this for a philosophy course and I must say that this book was quite bearable and enjoyable. I enjoyed the articles and case studies for each chapter, like for example, capital punishment. Also, in each chapter there is a list of both for and against a certain topic. I found that to be a good springing board for further research. Everyone's got some sort of opinion on topics, and this book should help one better formulate...

introduction with depth

Applying Ethics is a wonderful introductory text. My freshmen enjoy it as compared to other books because of its readable essays, helpful outlines, and current examples; while I appreciate its logical depth and comprehensiveness. Excerpts of major philosophers were selected carefully to provide a representative glimpse of a theory without overwhelming the new student.
