A NEW YORK TIMES 100 NOTABLE BOOKS OF 2019 SELECTION

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Stephen King, the most riveting and unforgettable story of kids confronting evil since It.

Rip off

I got ripped off. I did not pay for this book to come with no cover. I would have never bought it if I knew that.

Garbage character motivation

So the cleaner helps Luke because he uses a laptop to look up Debt lawyers? A kid giving advice about that is just plain and a pitiful plot device. Once again, Stephen King drags on and on and on and on and on. He drags the story on until it becomes a DNF.

Great story

Great read couldn’t put it down

Suspenseful

I thought it was well written and suspenseful. Loved it

Slow beginning

I struggled through the first 150 pages. I found it very stagnant and overly descriptive. After that it picked up and was a good read. I enjoyed it. Good plot and was hooked through the end. Stick through the beginning!

What A Story

This book is a major page turner! I just couldn't put it down.

whooo doggy

great book!

Couldn't put it down!

I am making my way through ALL of Stephen King's books and I just loved this one! It was so good I couldn't put it down and I was disappointed when it ended. Fabulous Mr. King!

Bow Down to King

Simply put, I loved this book. Stephen’s writing invades and enraptures the mind. He has a way of writing so simplistically, while providing great mental stimulation, allowing the reader crystal clear pictures of what he is attempting to convey with words. Stephen attempts to make the paranormal plausible, and he excels at it in The Institute.

Stephen King returns to terrors and triumphs of the human mind.

A terrifying conspiracy of a story. The kind of battle between good and evil- and the oh so human ; " grey areas of human fear"- which, only , Stephen King can deliver. Pulse pounding buid ups; of elegantly interwoven plots driven by complex, sympathetic, and despicably strange and wicked characters. All orchestrated into a symphony of horror which only King can beautifully conduct. I highly recommend "The Instituts".

Published by Ashly Moore Sheldon • September 11, 2019

It's been quite a week for Stephen King with the releases of both It Chapter 2, the movie and his new novel, The Institute. But then again, with about 80 books and dozens of hit movies to his name, maybe it's just like any other workweek. In any case, we're superfans and wanted to showcase a few of our top picks from the versatile author. (Psst, it's not all horror)
