I picked this up at a Borders a week before the publishing date (January 2009) and finished just before the new year. It's a small book, but it has enough information to keep the laity (me) entertained and educated for a while. The book is divided into several different parts- the brain itself, pathologies and diseases of the brain, technology in keeping brains healthy, among others. Each chapter has several tens of specific subjects and each subject takes up two pages. At the end of each subject, the authors included delicious bits of relevant trivia that keep the book fun and light. For people interested in psychology in general, this book is almost necessary.
