An affectionate and witty memoir of one of Britain's great theatrical and cinematic talents, Rex Harrison. Patrick Garland worked with Harrison on the revival of My Fair Lady and came to know him well... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This was certainly a pleasure to read, and I find myself going back and reading over certain passages that make me laugh out loud. Mr. Harrison had a very complex personality, and some of his reactions were almost childlike--which makes some of his interactions with other actors, directors and wives very amusing. Mr. Garland did a wonderful job of revelaing the man (Rex Harrison) without passing judgment or buying into the second-hand interpretations of others. It was also great to follow so closely the day-to-day difficultis of producing the revival of such a classic as My Fair Lady.
So good it makes you believe he is still alive
