Mr. Ferrera writes an extremely wonderful piece of fiction based loosely around actual events set before, during and after WW2. The protagonist, Peter, is the embodiment of the many heroes that were there during this time...many of whom are unnamed and unknown to the world which shut its eyes to the horrors of this travesty.Upon reading this book twice, I got a better idea of the author and also of history from this era of time. I also, personally, knew this remarkable person. He changed my views on life, Europe, WW2, and also made me a better person.I write this review, not in any way prejudiced by the way he, as a person, affected me, but as a lone stranger in time picking up a book with such a cover of a book - which in itself tells you something. One just has to look and read between the lines.I only wait for his next book..."Under the Tyburn Tree"...which should be just as great as his first.Sehr schoen Herr Ferrera! Viel Glueck!
Quality thriller contemporary to today's headlines

Simply, this book is a page turner. From the beginning, where Peter is called upon to work for the president in regards to Middle East peace, through Peter's days as an SS General, and to the end, this book is nonstop excitement. It it thoughtfully written by a man who was aware of events far ahead of their contemporary newsworthyness. This thriller is brilliant and is a must own for anyone who likes thrillers with a brain.
