The last family compound in Omaha built by renown architect, John Latenser, Sr is described with photos and details. Information on Latenser's descendants who occupied the house is included. By the 1930's, 89 out of 98 city blocks in Omaha had at least one building designed by John Latenser and Sons. Latenser designed more than a dozen buildings that are currently included on the National Register of Historic Places. The original Cornhusker Football stadium in Lincoln, NE was designed by Latenser. The Homestead was sold in 1980 and is no longer in the family.
